UNA-UK was deeply shocked and saddened by the death of Jo Cox MP last Thursday.
Jo was an active member of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on the United Nations, who gave particular support to our work on Syria, refugees, human rights, international development and peace operations.
She embodied the principles of the United Nations and the internationalist, humanist values that are sorely needed today. We feel privileged to have worked with her. Our thoughts are with her family and friends, and the countless people whose lives she touched.
