Sir Emyr Jones Parry, British Ambassador to the United Nations in New York, delivered a speech to the meeting in the Moses Room of the House of Lords. The talk was followed by a question-and-answer session, chaired by Lord Hannay of Chiswick, Vice-Chair of the UN APPG and former British Ambassador to the UN. Hugh Robertson MP, Chair of the UN APPG, opened the event.
