UNA-UK is delighted to report that veterans of UN peacekeeping missions will be included in the Royal British Legion's annual Festival of Remembrance for the first time this year, following a proposal by Dame Margaret Anstee (former UN Under-Secretary-General and UNA-UK Advisory Panel member), which was supported by UNA-UK's Chair, Lord Hannay.
Hundreds of British servicemen and women and civilians have served in peacekeeping and peacebuilding operations across the world, and it is important that their valuable contribution is honoured during this national commemorative ceremony.
