event details

Event date
Event location Brunei Lecture Theatre at SOAS Thornhaugh Street
Professor Colin Harvey, Director, Human Rights Centre, School of Law, Queen’s University Belfast, considers the implications of Brexit for the constitutional future of Northern Ireland and examines whether sufficient preparatory work is being done across these islands. After several failed attempts, and with an election date for the Northern Ireland Assembly long overdue, the UK and European Union are set to intensify negotiations over the Northern Ireland Protocol. They aim to reach an agreement before the twenty-fifth anniversary of the Good Friday Agreement this spring. Lecture to be followed by a reception, open to all.
