Miss Nabila Khan is the Country Coordinator for China and Taiwan for Amnesty International UK. She is a graduate in BA Chinese and Economics from SOAS University of London and has an MA in International Political Economy from the University of Manchester.
For a number of years, the government of China has engaged in grave crimes against humanity in Xinjiang, not only against the Uyghurs but also against other predominantly Muslim ethic groups such as Kazakhs. Why is the Chinese government pursuing such policies in Xinjiang? The answer is the Belt and Road Initiative is China's signature foreign policy and project of the century.
In this talk Miss Khan will be discussing the situation in Xinjiang, the Belt and Road and what we can do as activists to help bring justice to the Uyghurs.
