Kofi Annan’s Spokesman, Fred Eckhard, will speak about his years at the UN and how, upon retirement, he started a charity in Burkina Faso for disadvantaged girls in a disadvantaged country, paying tuition, room, board and transport for 14 of them. At the UN, Eckhard built credibility with the media by sticking to the facts and avoiding spin. Before joining the UN, he served for twelve years with UNA-USA.
