UPDATE: View the outcome of the Extraordinary General Meeting

An Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) of UNA-UK took place at 5:00pm on Thursday 28 April 2016 at Resource for London, 356 Holloway Road, London N7 6PA.

At this meeting, members were asked to vote on a crucial proposal to secure UNA-UK's future. The proposal seeks to amend members' voting rights at Annual General Meetings (AGMs) - view the letter from UNA-UK's Trustees explaining the proposal.

It emerged from the Board's discussions on a new strategic plan for UNA-UK, and is part of a broader agenda to revitalise and strengthen UNA-UK, which was discussed at our recent AGM on 5 March 2016.

The full strategic plan, now adopted, is available at: www.una.org.uk/plan2016.

The Board recognises that only a very small number of members take part in UNA-UK's AGMs, and that most members will therefore not be affected in any practical way by the changes being proposed. However, any change to members' rights is a serious matter under company law, and we urge all members to take part in this decision, in person or by proxy.
