UNA-UK respects any personal data you share with us and we are committed to protecting your personal information. We are making every effort to ensure that your personal information is processed in a fair, open and transparent manner. We aim to be clear when we collect your data and not do anything you wouldn’t reasonably expect.
UNA-UK is a "data controller" for the purposes of the Data Protection Act 1998 and (from 25 May 2018) the EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 ("Data Protection Law"). This means that we are responsible for, and control the processing of, your personal information. We have put in place measures to safeguard your personal data and to manage your personal data in accordance with applicable UK laws and regulations.
The principles set out in this Privacy Notice apply to all instances in which UNA-UK receives your personal data as a Data Controller as described in our Privacy Notice. Those purposes are processing of your personal data in order carry out our various UNA-UK charitable activities (details of these activities are available here).
In updating our Privacy Notice we asked ourselves a number of key questions that we believe you would like answered about the personal data that you submit to UNA-UK.
