I am seeking re-election for a second term as an Elected Trustee.
During my current term, I have had the pleasure of working in partnership with my fellow Elected Trustee, Dorothea Christiana, to engage both with UNA Groups and with UNA-UK, acting as a bridge to bring everyone together for the common purpose we all share.
I also had the great pleasure to be a part of the CEO selection panel that appointed Jane as UNA-UK’s new CEO.
UNA-UK is a very special organisation and I have been a proud member since I was 16, when I joined Tunbridge Wells Branch in Kent after taking part in the local MUNGA. Now in my 40’s & living in London, I believe just as passionately in UNA-UK’s mission as I did when I first joined, including the strongly held belief that our members form the heart of UNA-UK.
In my professional life, I am a Culture & Inclusion Senior Program Manager at Microsoft. Previously, I was a senior member of professional services firm EY’s Diversity & Inclusiveness team.
I believe passionately in the need, now more than ever, for working together to find global solutions to the common challenges that face us all.
Over the years I’ve held a number of positions within UNA-UK, some of which required sitting on the UNA-UK Board. Ones to highlight would be:
- Trustee of the legacy UNA Trust
- President of the (then) UN Youth & Student Association
- Co-Founder / Chair of the (then) UNA Young Professionals Network.
- Multiple years on the UNA Conference Committee, including both Chair and Vice-Chair.
- A member of UNA-UK’s delegation at three of WFUNA’s triennial Plenary Assembly.
It would be an honour and privilege to continue to represent the interests of members on the Board.
