UNA Bexhill & Hastings: UN Mother Earth Day - The Environment, Capitalism, Peace and Justice

A PUBLIC SEMINAR: Climate Change is being intensely addressed by the UN Environment Governance System. This consists of the global environmental laws, treaties and strategies resulting from the series of 5 UN Earth Summits 1972 -2012. Beginning in 1995, the UN has organised annual Climate Change Conferences. So why are greenhouse gases still rising, causing the Earth to keep warming to the extent where 2024 was the hottest year on record? The answer is because the UN Environment Governance System can only work in a World of Peace. Therefore, we will be discussing the tensions and connections between the environment & capitalism and between peace & justice with an aim to ending all kinds of warfare to permit solving all other global problems including climate change.
