Guest Speaker: Zoya Phan, Programme Director at Burma Campaign UK
Zoya Phan is one of Burma's leading democracy activists in Europe working to promote human rights, democracy and development in Burma. She has met twice with former British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, the leader of the UK Conservative Party and later Prime Minister David Cameron, and other senior politicians from around the world. She is regularly featured in international media including BBC and Al Jazeera. She is also Programme Director for Advance Myanmar, working to empower grassroots organisations, and provide assistance for activists and displaced civilians in Burma.
This is a hybrid meeting both in person and Zoom.
