UNA Warwick & District: How can the international community bring peace in the Horn of Africa?

Both Dr Lutz Oette and Dr Mohamed Abdesalam Babiker will address the meeting on the current politics and international issues relating to South Sudan, Sudan,Somalia, Ethiopia and with Eritrea the more concerning the on-going war in the Horn of Africa.
Dr Lutz Oette is a Professor of International Human Rights Law at SOAS, University of London.
He is the co-director of the SOAS Centre for Human Rights Law.
Dr. Mohamed Abdelsalam Babiker (Sudan)
Appointed Special Rapporteur for the situation of human rights in Eritrea in September 2022. Dr. Mohamed Abdelsalam Babiker is an Associate Professor of International Law at the University of Khartoum, and founding Director of its Human Rights Centre. He teaches human rights law, refugee law, international humanitarian law, and international criminal law among others.
