UNA Southampton

Southampton UNA has been active since 1946 and has a regular monthly programme.

The local UNA is particularly concerned with: gender issues, having recently questioned the police commissioner candidates about their policies with regard to sex trafficking; climate change and renewable energy; nuclear disarmament and the progress towards the Millennium Development Goals.

The committee has good contacts with other like-minded organisations and contacts local schools and colleges to help students learn about the UN using the resources provided by UNA-UK.

Every year UNA Southampton celebrates UN Day with a civic ceremony.
