UNA Harrogate: Global Goal 7 - encouraging sustainable energy solutions

At UNA Harrogate’s first meeting of 2016 we focused on “Why sustainable living needn’t cost the earth”.  We explored creative and imaginative ways to establish projects that demonstrate the benefits of sustainability and how they can be set up with a different mind-set from that prevailing in the commercial world.  There was a deep exploration of balancing abundance and generosity with the need for those involved in projects to earn a living and feed their families.  The three members of our group who brought the challenge forward are taking action to explore this philosophy and establish a language for describing their work that is effective and progressive.

Our next meeting is on 7 March 2016 when we will be focusing on encouraging sustainable energy solutions.  Anthony Day and Phil Morrison will present their challenge to the group followed by an action learning set where everyone will have the opportunity to share their most powerful thoughts or questions.  This will enable Anthony and Phil to commit to new actions in support of this goal.
