Guest Speaker:   Mr. Richard Nelmes – Head of Outreach,
Member of Senior Management Team, UN Association-UK

2015 may well be a defining year for the international community. We have the potential to secure progressive new development goals, agree a robust climate treaty and make progress on nuclear disarmament and gender equality. Our success will depend on the determination of our leaders and their willingness to engage and negotiate long-term solutions.

To this end, we at UN Association-UK will work tirelessly with our members and supporters, urging the UK to rise to the challenge, think big, and secure outcomes at a global level. We will also be marking the 70th anniversary of the United Nations, and of our Association's role in making its values a reality in the UK.

Richard, as Head of Outreach, leads UNA-UK's engagement and development strategies with key constituencies, including UNA members and branches, UNA Youth and Generation United Nations, donors and supporters, and organisational members. He is responsible for strengthening UNA-UK's relationship with these constituencies, and for promoting engagement with UNA-UK. Also well experienced in organising high level seminars including the UNA-UK Forums.  As well as being a member of the Senior Management Team, Richard manages major outreach events and activities that seek to build a broad and diverse grassroots support base for the organisation.
Prior to joining UNA-UK, Richard held supporter-engagement roles with several national membership organisations.

There will be a Branch Annual General Meeting from 12:30 pm- 12:45 pm

There will also be a Ploughman`s Lunch & Coffee as normal.
