At our second ‘Towards Zero’ high-level round-table, UNA-UK was delighted to launch the first in a series of briefing reports on nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation.
Written by Professor John Simpson, Emeritus Professor of International Relations at the University of Southampton, and entitled Is the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty fit for Purpose?, the paper asks candidly if the machinery of the NPT and its associated instruments is capable of handling the challenges facing the international community in the run-up to the 2015 Non-Proliferation Treaty Review Conference.
