Updated:

'A global force for good' makes the case for global issues to be high on the UK's agenda. It explains the dangers of focussing narrowly on domestic affairs and outlines 10 ideas on how Britain can deliver positive outcomes for its citizens and for the world.

We’re calling for UK leadership in the forthcoming negotiations on new international development and climate frameworks. We’re encouraging the UK to lead by example by championing robust arms control policies and international human rights commitments. And we’re asking the UK to use its expertise and convening power to strengthen UN peacekeeping and push forward UN reform.

Our ideas are ambitious and principled, but realistic, backed by clear recommendations that require political will and public support much more than they do funding.

In the coming months, UNA-UK will work with its grassroots members and supporters to engage policy-makers and local communities in discussing the relevance of global issues to people in the UK and the importance of UK action.
