UN Forum: 5 weeks to go - Malloch-Brown announced as keynote

With 5 weeks to go we are delighted to announce that Mark Malloch-Brown will be the keynote speaker at UN Forum 2012.

Lord Malloch-Brown has served as UN Deputy Secretary-General, UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office Minister, Vice-President of the World Bank and head of the UN Development Programme.

In these guises, he has played an influential role on issues ranging from UN reform to shaping the Millennium Development Goals. He is a frequent media commentator, and increasingly credited with having predicted developments in the Middle East and North Africa.

At UN Forum you will get the opportunity to hear Lord Malloch-Brown's theories on how to combat the causes and consequences of poverty, but we want to hear your thoughts and ideas too. See below for a range of ways to interact and contribute to the event.

Thank a UN peacekeeper

Right now, over 120,000 men and women from 118 countries are serving as UN peacekeepers, risking their lives in the world's most difficult regions to rebuild societies wracked by violence and to support people who have known little but war. Please take a moment to thank them.
