EU High Representative responds to letter on Israel-Palestine

The EU's High Representative for Foreign Affairs, Baroness Catherine Ashton, has responded to a letter from the European Eminent Persons Group which voiced concerns over the chances of a two-state solution for Israel and Palestine.

Co-signed by UNA-UK's Chairman, Sir Jeremy Greenstock, the letter set out a number of concerns with the current Peace Process and what elements would need to be in place for any possible future progress on the issue.

In her three-page response, Baroness Ashton addresses and elaborates on a number of the concerns raised by the Group, and reiterates her personal commitment, and that of all the "current leaders of the European Union", to achieve a solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
