What's happening?
The UK Government has been talking on and on about their vision of a "Global Britain". So far, details are thin on the ground. We at UNA-UK want to help them flesh out some specific objectives.
To do this, we've launched our scorecard setting out 7 key policy areas we believe are central to a "Global Britain”.
We want to find out whether YOU think the UK has been living up to its commitment to a "Global Britain".
How do I do that?
We're equipping you with an interactive scorecard which asks you: how is the UK doing? All you need is a laptop, tablet or a phone.
How does the scorecard work?
There are 7 questions. The scorecard uses a traffic light system to score the UK’s performance on these issues as “positive”, “mixed” or “negative”. Once you've answered each question, you'll find out how we scored the UK.
The scorecard assesses the UK's performance using the words of UN officials, cross-party committees of MPs and the UK's involvement in UN processes.
What do I need to do?
- Charge your laptops and tablets so they're ready to go. Make sure you have access to Wi-Fi or the internet as you'll need it to use the interactive scorecard
- Make sure the scorecard is ready to use. The more laptops and tablets you have, the more students you'll be able to interact with
- Get scoring. Ask students to fill out the interactive scorecard and share it on social media
- Choose how you rate the UK using our traffic light images, RED, AMBER or GREEN, print them out, take a photo with it and share it on Twitter and Facebook. Don't forget to mention: @unauk @Number10gov #GlobalBritain
- Tweet. Remind students to share their thoughts on Twitter and Facebook and remember to share the scorecard with your mailing list
- And finally, send us your sign up sheets. Make sure your friends stay up-to-date with UNA-UK's latest news and campaigns by sending your sign up sheets to Laurel Hart at hart@una.org.uk.
Here's some examples of people tweeting their red, amber and green results on Twitter.
