A ~1 hour long webinar with Ms. Autumn Melody Thomas on the topic “Make or Break, Climate Change and Peace After COVID-19.” This discussion raises awareness for the work of the United Nations on peacebuilding and climate change through the COVID-19 pandemic, the ramification of the pandemic on international efforts to tackle climate change, and the resulting impact on the world’s most vulnerable.
Mr. Franz Baumann served in the United Nations system for 35 years, including as Assistant Secretary-General and United Nations Special Adviser on Environment and Peace Operations until 2015. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Academic Council on the United Nations System and of the Board of Advisers of the Centre for United Nations Studies at the University of Buckingham.
As a senior UN Secretariat member, his insights will aid our members in learning more about UN governance and its sustained efforts in peacekeeping in a time of global crisis.
