2015 is important as it marks Beijing +20 and features the summits for the UN climate deal and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). At WACUNA's meeting we will discuss how best to ensure the implementation of the SDGs with emphasis on gender equality. Pat Black, APD, ECOSOC, International Director of Soroptimist International, and Khatija Barday-Wood, Founder and CEO of EIMAN (Empower, Inspire and Motivate through Advocacy and Nurturing), will be on a panel and report back on the Summit meetings.
We will start at 10am with light refreshments. The main programme starts at 10.30am with presentations and plenty of time for discussion. The event ends at 12.30pm. All are welcome, but please confirm your attendance with Mrs Spear before 22 October as the venue need the names of attenders for security reasons.
