The Women’s Advisory Council of the United Nations Association of the UK (WACUNA) is pleased to invite you to attend its First Meeting of 2013 on Wednesday 27.03.13 at the International Maritime Organization.

The meeting will start at 2 p.m, the talk will start at 3pm and will be roughly for an hour with opportunities to ask questions.

The speaker is Ms Heather Blake - the UK director for ‘Reporters without Borders and a Commissioner and Rapporteur for the Conservative Human Rights Commission’. The title of her speech is “Press freedom as a human right - including gender aspects”.

Before her talk, WACUNA will conduct an Ordinary Meeting of the Council (from 2pm). Business will include: minutes of the AGM held on 21 November 2012: reports by the WACUNA Chair, Treasurer and representative to the UNA-UK Policy Advisory Group; and plans for future work.
