Speaker, Simeon Mitchell, is Deputy Director of the Methodist Relief and Development Fund (MRDF), which supports initiatives to give people in marginalised communities the resources, opportunities and skills to take control of their own develpment and challenge injustice.
Drawing on his experience with MRDF, Christian Aid, and the Fair Trade movement, Simeon will explore some of the challenges and successful strategies for empowering women, who make up 70 per cent of the world's poor.
