UN Secretary-General dies in plane crash: That story led in all newspapers worldwide on 19 September 1961. But why the plane crashed remained an open case. Fifty years later, the UN General Assembly agreed to return to this issue. Its new inquiry has gathered increasing support from nations but some distance themselves from the process, principally the USA and the UK. Why so when the Global South is now openly challenging established western values and the utility of the Rule of Law?
